Transportation of Project cargoes for Alchevs'k Metallurgical Integrated Works
In 2006 OJSC "Alchevs'k Metallurgical Integrated Works" which is within the structure of "Industrial Union of Donbas"
became the applicant for transportation of oversized equipment for needs these integrated works. The contract on equipment delivery
with French firm "AIR LIQUID ENGINEERING" was concluded on terms CIF port of Mariupol'. Then the set of equipment for construction
of "oxygen converter" workshop had to be delivered onto the territory of integrated works in Alchevs'k.
Yugintertrans was
the General forwarder when transporting this cargo from port of Mariupol' to the object in construction on the territory
of "Alchevs'k Metallurgical Integrated Works". The delivery of the equipment was effected from France with vessel consignments
through Mariupol' trade port. In addition to other equipment which should be transported the contract stipulated the delivery of
32 units of superoversized equipment having the following features:

When preparing the project of this transportation by the enterprise
Yugintertrans together with its partners the following steps were taken:
Railway transportation
-
Oversized equipment loading and fastening methods were developed and approved for special railway rolling stock.
-
The schedule of the cargo passing and movement from station Mariupol' to station Komunars'k (260 km) was agreed with Donets'k Railway.
-
Together with our partners the cargo unloading in port of Mariupol' was arranged.
-
The special cargo fastening accessories were developed and made for rolling stock.
Taking into account of
super oversized equipment, the shipments were effected only with separate locomotive.
The measures were taken in order to provide for conditions of cargo passing through Donets'k Railway,
with taking of the contact system voltage along the entire route and dismantling of the contact suspension on some track sections.

As the geometric parameters of some cargoes did not allow to transport them along the railway, their delivery was effected using special
road transport. It should be noted, that the total height of road trains carrying cargo laid within 6.0 metres that
significantly complicated the passing of railway crossroads, artificial constructions, bridges and power mainlines.
The following steps were taken:

Verification of the route and approval of this route with all interested organizations.

Temporary switching off of the power mainlines along the entire route of road trains was arranged.

The schedule of the passing by railway-crossing and the switching off the contact system on their route was agreed.
-
The convoy by the state traffic police along the entire route was arranged.
-
The roadway on problematic sections was put in appropriate order.
-
Accident causing trees were cut off on the lowbed trailers route.
-
The temporary railway crossroad was built in village of Pereval'ne.
